COMPANY PROFILE (November 2011)
ORIGIN
Atex SPS was formed to supply specialized logistical services to corporate companies, catering for their unique needs and requirements. The company was founded by
Michael Myburgh and Johan Roos with a combined logistical experience of 25 years.
Our company was officially registered in 2006 as a closed corporation (CK 2006/186959/23) with the vision of becoming experts in the field of specialized logistics focusing on heavy, fragile and expensive equipment. Our driving force was
to become the market leader in this specialized market sector.
The Market
Today Atex SPS is focusing our services on the IT, Medical as well as the Telecommunications industries. These industries generally have the need to relocate server and
storage racks or equipment like microscopes and medical CT and MR machines. This type of equipment is usually very expensive, heavy and bulky and, because of its
fragile nature, can not be relocated and moved by normal courier companies.
It is obvious that we are a specialist service provider and don’t operate like “general cargo” transporters. Our industry demands a much more hands-on approach and Atex
SPS is equipped to handle any relocation our clients might request, regardless of how demanding it might be.
CLIENTS
Our clients are large multi-nationals, parastatals and international companies. Atex SPS are in the fortunate position that we have, to a large extent, risk free
debtors.
We generally receive instruction for relocations from any of the three following types of clients:
• The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) – e.g. EMC, IBM, DELL, Hytachi, Fujitsu Siemens etc. • The Equipment Maintenance Company – e.g. Bytes Technology, Datacentrix, Business Connection, T-systems etc. • The End User – e.g. ABSA, Standard Bank, FNB, Nedbank, Vodacom, Telkom, Neotel, Bankserve, Philips Medical etc.
Atex SPS understand that we represent your company when we are on site doing a delivery at your customer. We know that we have a responsibility towards you and our
relocation teams are trained to act as ambassadors when dealing with your customers.
We are aware that any delivery is time critical and can cost you money towards technicians and “down time”. Atex SPS take this very seriously and make sure that every
relocation is personally monitored and managed as time efficiently as possible.
